He holds full practising certificates, both in Spain and in Scotland and also is empowered in Scotland to act as a Notary Public to notarise documents to have effect in Spain. The Spanish law department at James and George Collie is the only firm in Scotland to be able to provide this service. As the Legal Counsel of the Spanish Civil law department, I was responsible for managing and dealing with matters regarding all aspects of property law in Spain. Also preparation of wills, powers of attorney, obtaining NIE Spanish registration requirements, provision of dual nationality certificates etc. I also dealt with all aspects of Spanish contract and company law, as well as, dealing with Spanish Consulate enquiries for the North of Scotland.
