  • Worked under a mentor to learn more about their research on spina bifida and neurogenic bladder diseases and how they cause stress in the endoplasmic reticulum• Researched and wrote a proposal for how to create a Boolean model to observe endoplasmic reticulum stress• Read and discussed 3 research possibilities to explore in creating my proposal• Created and presented a PowerPoint each work documenting the process of creating a proposal on my own research• Learned about proper research techniques and how to apply these to my own research in the future• Presented my proposal in front of the head of the program as well as many of my peers and answered questions about my proposal.
