  Currently shadowing personal trainers and Crossfit classes. I am learning how different people perform movements differently, as well as how to correctly demonstrate movements/lifts/stretches. I hope to start working towards my CPT and CSCS in the fall. I am also doing administrative work, which includes posting to social media, responding to emails, and talking to small business owners about promotions. I am learning how a small business runs, in which I am pushed out of my comfort zone to develop communicating with many different types of people, whether they be clients, small business owners, or people in the same or very different field of study I am interested in.   This is a Nike sponsored program. I got promoted to head coach, which came with a few more responsibilities. I still had to collaborate with other coaches, while adding administrative work. I got more involved in speaking to parents while checking kids in during the morning and out in the afternoon. This allowed me to get to know every player by name at the camp. I was also in charge of emailing parents and gathering the camper evaluations at the end of each camp to send them out. I made sure everything was organized to ensure the camps would run smoothly. For that summer, I continued to primarily coach 7-10 year-olds and goalies, but also got more involved in the 11-16 age group. Show less

  I was tasked with emailing our client base using a software called Uplaunch, managing social media, sending and receiving important emails, creating graphic designs for different community events and other various occasions, and I also helped hire another intern by collaborating with the staff to develop various interview questions and exercises.   This is a Nike sponsored program. Through that summer, I worked with a few other coaches and camp director. I was in charge of collaborating with another coach to come up with drills and other plans for the week. I coached 7-10 year-old boys and girls. I was also in charge of coming up with a separate training plan for goal keepers, as that is the position I play currently and have a lot of experience in. This is a Nike sponsored program.
