Assistance in research and drafting of a Complaint Procedure to the United Nations' Committee Against Torture, under the tutorship of three lawyers, to protect a Canadian refugee's fundamental right to "life, liberty and security of the person." According to article 3 of the Convention against Torture "No State Party shall expel, return ("refouler") or extradite a person to another State where there are substantial grounds for believing that he would be in danger of being subjected to torture." After being denied access to remain on Canadian soil from the Federal Court, our final resort is to file a report to the OHCHR in order to keep our client in Canada, protected from the risk of torture or death in his homeland.
