ISE stands for Ice Storm Experiment. The aim of this project is to monitor the effect of Ice storms on the Forest Ecology. Alongside sample and data collection from plots effected by the 1998 ice storm there will be a controlled manipulative icing of forest plots in Hubbard Brook. My responsibilities include pretreatment sampling and data collection. I also am assisting a lead technician with the preparation of the forest for the Icing. The culmination of this position will occur when the plots are iced during the coldest nights this winter. Show less
