  During this job, I wrote literature reviews, created a harvest pressure survey and built a database in Microsoft Excel. This involved extensive research on previous methods and metrics of collecting information on harvest pressure, fish home range and social concepts in Madagascar. Furthermore, I cleaned, analyzed and incorporated data from previous research into a journal article. This article is in the process of being published.   During this internship I assisted wildlife veterinarians with the capture, handling and nonlethal sampling of two species of tamarins, small mammals, bats and birds. As part of this project, I learned how to build humane primate traps. I also tracked primates through multiple types of forest using binoculars, GPS and radio telemetry to understand movement ecology, social behavior and collect fecal samples.
