I was the Systems Engineer for a small firm providing private cloud EHR hosting services to Federally Qualified Health Centers as well as other healthcare facilities. My responsibilities were to provision/configure/maintain all servers and networking equipment, including both the hardware and the software layer. Additionally, I also provided onsite level two desktop support (escalations) for our staff. I planned and performed all server software installations and upgrades, and many specialized configurations including: web, database, virtual applications, application clustering and load balancers, remote access systems, general client/server apps, custom automation and scripting. I am proficient with server and client side EHR/EMR applications such as eCinicalWorks, Open Dental, Dentrix, and Easydent. I also am an eClinicalWorks Certified Installer Technician. I migrated our production systems from VMware to Microsoft Azure in 2019, and continued administering these systems until my departure. I am now proficient in designing and implementing systems in Azure, with nearly 4 years of experience. I implemented various monitoring and RMM systems, with highly customized monitors providing crucial real-time performance metrics for maintaining uptime and top application performance. I was responsible for the network architecture/design and all aspects of network security including: Firewall, IPS, DMZ, vLAN, VPN. Show less

I was an IT contractor (under PlanIT Tech) for Northrop Grumman; part of the enormous project of migrating agency systems for over 64,000 Commonwealth of Virginia end users, as a member of the VITA partnership. I currently coordinate technicians migrating PCs to the new state domain. These technicians report to me both for tracking purposes, and for escalated PC and Active Directory support.
