Watching Gabriel grow his engineering skills over the course of nearly 3 years (!) was such a pleasure. His passion for development, combined with his breadth of knowledge made him an invaluable asset to our team. His mentorship skills are unparalleled! I truly can’t stress that enough. He would greet every pair programming task with the same level of enthusiasm and curiosity, regardless of how mundane the task may be. His strong grasp of front end engineering concepts carried over to the back end, as he showed interest and took initiative to work on micro-services with the back end team. Gabriel completed every task with care and thoughtfulness. Not only did he leave our web application in a much better place than when he started with us, he has also helped to future-proof our code base by fleshing out some much-needed documentation, researching alternatives to our existing stack, and refactoring our code base to use ECMA Script 6. Despite being his team lead, I suspect that I learned just as much, if not more, from Gabriel as he did from me.

It was a pleasure working alongside Gabriel the last two years at YogaGlo. He is a very talented developer who is great at building out features, has an excellent sense of design and is a pretty awesome guy. Gabriel also has a genuine curiosity and excitement toward new technology and finding new ways to grow himself and his abilities. Seeing Gabriel move on from YogaGlo was tough, but I know he'll be an excellent addition to any team he joins in the future and do great things.
