Supported the institute's Policy Implementation Team's work related to the goals of the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium, created by the 86th Texas Legislature in Senate Bill 11 to address gaps in mental health care for children and adolescents in Texas. I worked collaboratively with project managers and across institute teams to develop, track, and meet project deliverables and timelines, contributing to various aspects of project lifecycles, including writing grant proposals, literature reviews and publications, preparing and giving presentations, and coordinating with key stakeholders. I participated as a founding member of the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute's Paso del Norte Center in El Paso, Texas. The PdN Center was formed to focus on providing policy and program guidance for regional initiatives and advancing mental health awareness efforts in the Paso del Norte region. My responsibilities included promoting leadership for the reduction of stigma and negative bias associated with mental illness and substance use and increasing coordination and collaboration among regional mental health partner organizations and stakeholders.
