I was a member of a student board who represented each college within the university. We worked in conjunction the University of Arizona Disability Resource Center, with the goal to improve the school infrastructure to go beyond ADA compliance and recommendations. I attended weekly meetings, conferred with fellow students with cognitive and physical disabilities about their experience on campus, ranked physical classroom spaces based on ADA criteria to determine their accessibility and overall inclusiveness, and managed various disability accommodations for on- campus events such as the Tucson Book Festival, Homecoming, Spring Fling, and graduation.
