  Worked for an engineering company which is technologically updating the water supply network of Caracas and other cities in Venezuela. I worked with the software team which was creating a Geographical Information System to manage the network. This includes: * Designing the database and server side services. * Creating tools to manage, import and draw the network. * Creating tools to keep track of works and modifications done in the network. * Simulate by computer the physical network characteristics (pressure, water speed, etc..). * Working together with a different software team which designs the home consumption and billing system.   I had a long satisfying career in this company for which I worked since the foundation. We were a team of developers who created a GIS (Geographical Information System) solution from ground zero . This platform had several modules: * A desktop GIS with great capabilities for editing, querying, printing and analysis of geographical data (Kosmo). * A server side solution to share all kinds of geographical information using different services and protocols (Following OGC standards). * A web client to make accessible by web all the information. * A mobile solution in Android. This platform was used later to create solutions for specific problems like: *A cadastre national system for the government of Ecuador. (SINAT) A project that lasted three years and was a successful technical challenge for the team. * Several local cadastre specific fine tuned solutions for local governments of Ecuador. * A water supply network management system used in some Spanish and Mexican cities like Burgos. * Several solutions for local Spanish governments to keep track of their fleet of vehicles, workers and parades (using GPS devices). * Data gathering tools for making polls about agricultural activity. * etc...   State owned company looking for solutions to technologically improve the agricultural and fishing sectors in Andalusia. It was my first IT job. This work was my introduction of Geographical Information Systems as I worked on several interesting and very educational projects which included: * A web viewer of all the geographical data produced by the Andalusian government (Visor SIGPAC). * Tracking system for the spanish fishing fleet. Developing the graphical engine to represent all the data on maps in the big screens of the tracking center. This application won a recognition price from the government in the TECNIMAP 2006 fair.
