  Working at Boswell's, I've managed to achieve a good working relationship with my colleagues and several friendly encounters with our regular customers. There isn't really a quiet moment at Boswell's, which is part of its charm, but one has to be able to work independently, and, at the same time, work well with everybody. I did this by keeping my mind focused at all times and always making sure that I am on my feet so that the work doesn't pile on top of somebody else. I've also tried my best to make sure that, when working as a barista, my customers get a good experience with us. Sometimes it's as simple as remembering their previous order from last time, other times it involves using a bit of sign language to confirm a few details about their order. Either way, I believe I perform well when it comes to customer relations. Show less

  Was given complete freedom to choose my own hours. The only requirement was that by the end of the three-month contract, I had to have compiled 120 gif files for the company's database. Products were placed on a rotating table in front of a white light. Every 10 degrees, a camera would automatically take a photo of the product and collect 36 total. I would then have to compile the 36 photographs into one single gif file. I also made a good impression on the sales team, who taught me about the work they do in our free time. Since I was essentially confined to the photography room, I had little awareness of what my colleagues in the rest of the building. I expressed an interest to my employer to ask about the rest of the work he was in charge of. This gave me a larger insight into the several cogs of the Yate Supplies business.
