I helped with the initial stages of the development of the Movement Lab and envision the mission as a flexible space for collaboration and the interaction of Technology and Movement. Programs started are the Artist in Residence Program, the Students Artists/Fellows in Residence, and MeMoSa (Media and Movement Salon) a safe space to share research and works in process.Investigating Virtual Reality, Motion Capture, and other emerging digital techologies, and design as they relate to human motion are all part of the mission. At Barnard I am developed the course in Screen Dance (Dance on Camera). I also teach Modern Dance Technique, Composition, and Dance in Film (seminar/lecture. I advise and continue to integrate my artistic practice as choreographer and filmmaker in to my teaching and service to the Barnard/Columbia Community and beyond.
