  Geologist for a $380MM - 295Bcf EUR appraisal and redevelopment project on a legacy onshore gas field with New Zealand’s largest Contingent Resource base. The project is focussed on conventional to tight gas sandstone reservoirs in a coal prone deltaic environment of deposition. • Using sequence stratigraphy and sedimentology to integrate seismic and well data to describe the depositional history of the Kapuni field.• Mapping of sand-prone geomorphological features (fluvial channel complexes) using seismic attributes.• Delivering seismic volume based structural/stratigraphic models for resource estimation, development strategy and well planning.• Identification and ranking of subsurface drilling targets.• Delivery of Basis of Well Designs for well planning and execution.• Input in to petrophysical updates for probabilistic volumetric estimation.• Integration of core and high resolution logs (NMR and Image logs) along with facies modelling and petrophysical rock typing to better characterise thin bedded reservoir zones, resulting in a significant upgrade of associated GIIP and 2C resources.• Investigation and revision of existing reservoir models for preliminary dynamic simulation, primarily to gain insights on full field GIIP distribution, low-net reservoir connectivity, inform appraisal data gathering strategy and support project forecasts.
