Freya worked with us in the communications team at Clinique for two months and was an asset to the department. Freya consistently demonstrated an incredible work ethic, passion and meticulous attention to detail. She supported on a five star colour launch and was a vital part of two press and influencer events. Freya’s knowledge of the beauty industry and evolving social sphere meant she was an invaluable member of our team for the time she was with us. Freya was a pleasure to work with and would be welcome back at any time!

During her time as an intern at Public Desire Freya took complete ownership of the role, constantly pushing forward to challenge herself, develop her skill set and grasp a full knowledge of the fundamental workings of a wholesale department. Freya is a focused and highly motivated person, positive and extremely forward thinking. A fresh mind and attitude that will be an asset to the fashion industry in the future!

Working for Clinique under the Estee Lauder Companies umbrella has provided me with furthered extensive knowledge into various beauty brands and their products. An average day at Clinique consists of me completing consultations with clients that I have booked in for appointments such as makeovers and full skin-care routines. Traffic stopping is also something I do daily to boost sales on quiet days. In my position at Clinique I am also able to further develop my Visual Merchandising skills by staying updated on the strategy plans sent by Head Office and making sure my counter meets the guidelines. I also run my counters social media account, interacting with clients and promoting the brand.

I spent part of my summer working for Karen Millen alongside the PR and Marketing teams, here I was responsible for: - Collating brand coverage from print, online and social, and presenting it in the weekly highlights presentation. - Updating the PR Editorial Analysis spreadsheet to show the total PR value based on the Ad Value, rate and page space. - Booking couriers and internal stock transfers when doing client send outs and then checking these in on the press request document. - Assisting with upcoming events, contacting companies to book their services and negotiate prices to keep within the budget. I built new client relationships during this time, securing new companies for KM to work with in the future. - Organising guest lists for upcoming summer events. - Using the Sparkle System to log all call ins. - Organising international shipments through DHL. - Creating missed coverage opportunity analysis documents and ensuring that this coverage is gained in future. - In charge of the gifting budget and updating the spreadsheet to show how much is spent on influencer product gifting. - Using the influencer marketing search platform site 'Brand New' to identify influencers for upcoming campaigns - Karen Millen X Royal Ascot PR Report: Collated all Social, Online & Press coverage from the KM X Royal Ascot collection and live coverage during the event into a report to convey to the wider team.

Here I worked for Clinique alongside the Communications team under the ELC umbrella. On a day to day basis I was responsible for: - Collating press clippings and influencer content into the Communications Weekly Highlights presentation which I then relayed to the wider team. - Posting out product packages to influencers and press. - In charge of organising the big PR mailers to send to influencers on Clinique's press list for new product launches. - Managing stock levels in the press office. - Organising gift bags for events. - Planning events - Guest list, Set up, Venue, Catering etc. In particular, the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Super Concealer launch event held in Mayfair. - Responding to ad hoc emails from press and influencers. - Delegating tasks to other interns which allowed me to build on my leadership skills and gave me greater responsibility within the team.
