I employed Ryan into his role as New Zealand's Trade Commissioner in Korea because I saw genuine person who was passionate about the role of representing New Zealand businesses and who was committed to continue developing and growing his abilities. Ryan has done a great job in this regard and I have no hesitation recommending him. Ryan operates well at a strategic and political level as exhibited by his role in implementing the NZ - Korea Free Trade Agreement. He also has no problem to roll up his sleeves and deliver results for his customers. The work Ryan and his team delivered in the food and beverage sales and marketing and innovation space directly lead to great commercial outcomes for his clients. Ryan bridges the cultural gap extremely well and has a deep understanding of the Korean culture and the challenges of foreign businesses operating in Korea. Ryan is fluent in Korean, but I think it is his understanding of the landscape that is more valuable. He is open, honest person who gets stuff done and generates results.

His knowledge of the market and cross cultural business experience has opened business opportunities for us. I would recommend him becuase - He understands people at all levels - Open doors at strategic level and - Lifting the bar of business accumen and capability of his team.
