Ph D. studies at the program for Molecular Biomimetics at the Department of Chemistry, Ångström, University of Uppsala. Advanced spectroscopy was used to study two of the proteins in photosynthesis and new functions were revealed related to the main mechanisms. My research was performed in collaboration with the Consortium for Artificial Photosynthesis (CAP) and was presented, by me, at conferences and seminars orally and/or via posters. It has so far been published in three different scientific journals [Thapper, A., et al. (2009) Plant Cell 21, 2391–2401; Mokvist, F. et al (2014) Biochemistry 53, 4228–4238; Mokvist, F. et al (2014) J. Biol. Chem., 289, 24630-24639]. My position comprised of about 15 % teaching, including practical and theoretical work in biotechnology, general chemistry, biochemistry and physical chemistry.
