    • Embedded Software Engineer
      • Mar 2023 - Present

As part of a small Agile team, I work with developing the firmware that is used by Axis's fixed dome cameras.

    • IT Consultant
      • Feb 2023 - Feb 2023

I had a month between my assignment at Flatfrog (ended jan 2023) and my assignment at Axis (started march 2023). During this time, I took the opportunity to sharpen my C / C++ skills via Udemy courses, and also started expanding my knowledge of embedded development via hands-on work on a STM32 Discovery board.

    • Signal Processing Engineer
      • Nov 2022 - Jan 2023

21 Nov 2022 - 31 Jan 2023: consulting work for Flatfrog Laboratories in Lund. I worked with Python modelling/simulations and data analysis to improve the accuracy of a signal processing algorithm being used in FlatFrog:s touch screen products, and then implemented the modelled algorithm improvements in FlatFrog:s C production code. This position at FlatFrog gave me experience in quickly getting my head around how a complex codebase is structured. I became familiar with the fundamentals of embedded programming. I also started learning how to develop code in an environment where both Git and elements of Agile / Scrum are used. Show less

    • Research intern - biological physics
      • Apr 2022 - Sep 2022

Building on the results obtained during my master thesis work, I worked with data analysis and computational modelling in Python to better understand the mechanisms behind so-called "patterning" in the early human brain: how stem cells develop in different ways in different positions. I set up mathematical models of patterning, based on networks of genes regulating each other. I optimized these differential equation-based models against gene expression data, and then performed 3D simulations with the optimized models. The project yielded exciting results, and so I and my former MSc supervisor wrote a scientific paper aimed at the journal "Cell Systems", where we hope to publish the results. Show less

Summer internship in the same group as the one I did my master thesis in. Applied a Boolean-logic-based method for computing and visualising energy landscapes of gene regulatory networks in Python, with the goal of generating testable predictions for a particular network which governs the differentiation path of T-cell progenitors. Was also an opportunity for extra development of the 3D simulation code which I used during my master thesis work. Summer internship in the same group as the one I did my master thesis in. • Lab supervisor
      • Sep 2015 - Feb 2020

Supervised two different course labs for first-year physics students. One of the labs involved DSLR camera work and image processing with the goal of calculating the energy levels of the hydrogen atom via spectral lines, the other lab was centered around fundamental rotational mechanics.Learned a lot about scientific writing (wrote lab manuals, and corrected quite a few lab reports during each semester), and about how to communicate clearly and pedagogically.

    • Research intern - photonics
      • Jul 2016 - Aug 2016

Summer project where I fabricated optical components similar to those whose characteristics I simulated in my bachelor's thesis. The goal was to evaluate the feasibility of producing such components "in-house" at the department. To assess this, I characterized their optical quality via a spectrometer setup and compared the results with MATLAB simulations.

    • Accelerator operator
      • Jan 2018 - Oct 2019

Responsible for ensuring smooth operation of the MAX IV accelerator facility, as part of the 'operations' group. Working from the facility's control room, the role mainly involved monitoring the many different control systems + automation of such monitoring (often via Python scripts), and troubleshooting when some particular system stopped working properly. Being an operator also meant functioning as a communication hub, to help coordinate the efforts of more specialized personnel working within the facility. Show less

    • Radiation safety technician
      • Jan 2018 - Jun 2018

Carried out daily radiation-safety related tasks at MAX IV. For example, this involved measuring radiation levels in sensitive areas of the facility, and monitoring / controlling the status of the facility's so-called personal safety system - thereby ensuring that no one working within the facility would risk exposure to dangerous levels of radiation. The work was performed in close coordination with the 'operations' group - the facility could thus be operated as smoothly as possible, but still in a manner which was safe from a radiation safety perspective. • Warehouse logistics - order picking
      • Jun 2011 - Aug 2015

Every summer during 2011-2015. Mainly involved moving goods from storage towards the dispatch areas of the warehouse, and the picking of customized orders onto pallets and dispatching them. It was always a nice break from the physics studies to work with something entirely different during the summers. Every summer during 2011-2015.
