My whole time at Wemotion I was consulting at Zenterio. At Zenterio I was part of a small team working on adding support functionality to a line of set-top boxes (STB; i.e. TV boxes). The support features was QoS and some limited Quality of Experience tracking and reporting as well as adding remote support functionality. My whole time at Wemotion I was consulting at Zenterio. Tried creating my own game with my own engine. Didn't work out that well. ( What follows is basically an explanation of why and how this failed ) Basically after the last company I worked at became bankrupt I came into a situation where I had a decent savings and a lot of time on my hands and decided to create my own game without using an existing engine. The first 3 months went well, I was finally able to use all those new C++ features and I was having fun experimenting with them. But as time went on my motivation was declining thanks in part of being a bit isolated as a sole developer living in a place where there were no support structure for that and in part because of the new exiting C++ features were causing frustrations from only having partial support and confusing error messages. After another 3 months my motivation dropped enough that I was only working 2-3 hours a day. After that it took another 6 months to finally give up. As of 2017 I still sometime come back to what I was working on here. Now that I'm no longer isolated and having to deal with partial compiler support and very confusing error messages I've ripped out all the god parts and started working on new things on my free time. Worked on implementing and improving various features for the free-to-play racing game RaceRoom Racing Experience. As we were a small team I got to work on a wide range of tasks but most of it was dealing with general game logic and working with an aging code base. * Worked on refactoring the gameplay logic dealing with different game modes. * Worked on our Scaleform based UI system and was part of the group replacing it with our own CEF based system. Worked on software for slot machines that used Windows XP embedded. One of the larger tasks I handled during my short time there was adding support for a new machine that had a different security solution.
