I worked with Frederic in the same team in Whisbi. All his experience and knowledge about the compilers and technology we used was amazing. Also he was always willing to help you and share his knowledge. He also wants to be a better professional and team mate every day, so he is continuously learning and interested in tons of different topics related with software and teams. Working with Frederic was a fruitful experience and I learnt a lot of new things from him. I have only positive words for him!

Silvia Nualart Sanjuan

Frederic demonstrated his passion and his talent during the time he worked for our team. Meticulous, highly compromised and very organized professional, all these skills makes him a valuable worker who always goes beyond the expectations.

During my stint at Horizons Optical (formerly the product development and innovation division of Indo Optical), most of my effort was focused on software components of the Made4U Concept, a platform that allows producing bespoke 3D-printed glasses according to the user's morphology. It includes technologies for personalization, a face scanner, and a virtual try-on, where the consumers can see how the spectacles fit. My main duties were devoted to two projects: ▪ Mesh Tools: For the most part, I designed, implemented and evolved a myriad of tools dealing with the meshes of the glasses for all the needed stages (e.g. constrained deformations). These start from the designer's original files, and end with the files that are ultimately sent to the 3D-printers. The mesh tools, fully rewritten from scratch and augmented extensively, are cross-platform (CMake-based, for Linux and Windows), implemented in C++11 using boost, and built on top of the Open Source CGAL library. ▪ Virtual Try-On: I also maintained, planned and coded new functionalities of the pre-existing Qt-based virtual try-on Windows application, like accounting for nonexclusive collections, sunglasses, and different 3D-print materials. Improvements included upgrading to 64 bits, increasing its robustness, database decentralization, speeding up rendering time, creating an NSIS-based installer, reducing installation data by 2 orders of magnitude, and enhancing its log system for a faster response time for fixes. For both projects we enforced a no-warnings policy, and used analysis tools like Cppcheck and the Visual Studio's built-in code analysis functionality. Served mandatory military service as a gunner, in charge of a Porsche power generator. I was stationed in Garrapinillos; the quarters were next to the USAF base (closed in 1992) near Zaragoza, used during the First Gulf War. I used to listen to their radio station whenever I had the chance to improve my English language skills; sometimes we also used their gym, basketball and racquetball courts, bowling center, and other facilities. Diego Armando Maradona played for FCB at that time. I was recruited with a couple of friends to collect bleacher cushions at the end of games—we were a bunch of people doing this.
