I am glad to have this opportunity to recommend Fred Attakumah to you. I worked as Engineering Supervisor under Fred in AngloGold Ashanti, Obuasi Mine for six and half years. As my Manager and Vice President, I can attest to his diligence and capability to set goals and achieve them. He is very knowledgeable in his areas of expertise and sometimes even beyond his comfort zone. Fred’s tutelage thought me the art of excellence. Recently, after leaving the company for a year, he still timely replies all my emails and mobile text messages regardless of work pressure. He proved himself to be an adept communicator with strong leadership qualities. Fred demonstrated the ability to manage multiple tasks and accomplish goals efficiently and according to schedule. He has the ability and tenacity to deploy the ‘best resource’ for every task. He has a positive attitude when dealing with his superiors, subordinates and his colleagues. He always displayed a responsible attitude toward work; he demanded a great deal of himself, his subordinates and worked hard to ensure that he manages every task professionally. Apart from his professional excellence, he is very easy-going and polite, and although he is very serious and motivated in his pursuit of achievement, he is also very humble and willing to listen to others' ideas. Working with Fred enables discovery and satisfaction of true potential. Through his various management roles, he honed his communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and these traits are rare to find and has made me to hold him as my model for life. Based on my personal observation of his professional work ethic and his engaging personality, I believe that he will be a valuable asset to AngloGold and Ghana as a whole.
