Creating Your Space Conference

  - Hosted a conference for two consecutive years serving minority students in the private school system in the state of Delaware that intends to help students recognize and utilize their voice to do the work that needs to be done to make all spaces conscious, comfortable, and progressive for all minorities to build an environment that is conductive to their academic success.- Coordinated with the private schools to reserve space, to pitch the event to their entire student body, to promote the conference on their networks, and ultimately we had over 60 attendees.- Organized keynote speakers, facilitators for different interactive workshops, and sponsors to cover the cost of the conference.

  - Researched school choice policy and the effects that it has on African American students then preparing fact sheets to be presented in pitch meetings.- Hosted summits such as “STEAM” (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) to help expose racially minority students in Washington D.C. to professionals in these fields that look like them.- Providing platforms for youth (and other impacted populations) to make recommendations regarding the policies, practices and programs designed to accelerate learning and development.
