With this internship I have worked with three separate organisations;1) Warimpura: A social enterprise focused on empowering women in the highland village of Huiloc in Peru. I co-ordinated with the CEO to create an impactful presentation in line with their brand strategy. The project was targeted towards future donors to explain the operational aspect of the organisation. The presentation I designed was in strict accordance to their brand identity manual and included implementing detailed infographics, graphs, and data.2) SASANE: This NGO’s focus is on helping prevent and look after victims of human trafficking in Nepal. The project I undertook was delivering informational material targeted at schools and communities to be used as education on internet safety. I created posters and an educational video for the organisation to use in their programmes.3) YWaste: A social enterprise undergoing the process of becoming a social franchise. I worked closely with the founder, and used my editorial skills to design a business in a box model, which included a ’gap analysis’ of the business, the standardisation of company documentation and procedures, designing an operations manual, and a staff evaluation system alongside marketing materials. Community Development and Communications Intern

- Contributed to the growth of a small NGO in Leona Vicario creating funding channels for social programs that established greater self-sufficiency for the organisation.- This was achieved by improving their existing assets, namely, their local museum improving their online presence and out reach.- Collaborated with local tour operators to create a trip package to attract more visitors to the museum. - - Translated museum exhibits into English to broaden the exhibition's appeal and attract ex-pats to engage with the museum's focus on local social impact.- Developed and maintained strong community relationships to achieve project goals and bring about positive change.- Implemented effective community engagement strategies to ensure project success. NGO Support Staff

Worked in an NGO support role for an organization based in Bhaktapur, focused on education, youth empowerment, and water sanitation. - Engaged with private contractors, construction suppliers, and village leaders to understand and contribute to the construction process of water sanitation projects, gaining experience in stakeholder management required for large-scale and long-term projects. - Devised an education program based on UNICEF's WASH scheme to promote water hygiene and safe use of clean water in local villages. - Collaborated with local women's groups and societal stakeholders from surrounding villages to facilitate the successful implementation of the program. - Meeting with private contractors AECS Adhirajya engineering and constructing suppliers as well as meeting village leaders to understand the process of constructing water sanitation projects, from gaining initial funding to final completion of projects. - Devising an education programme to be implemented in local villages to teach locals the importance of water hygiene and how to use clean water properly. This involved meeting women's groups from local villages to teach them first hand the importance of water sanitation in the home and methods to ensure its safe use. - Worked with a colleague to design visual aids to be implemented in households where projects had been completed. Again, to teach the correct use of clean water and show its health benefits. - Pragmatically overcame and found solutions to language barriers when operating in areas with low English proficiency. Taught English and Maths at a Primary school in the outskirts of the capital Suva, where I organised lesson plans and was responsible for running the day to day of a classroom. Coached sport to a variety of age groups in the afternoons. Organised and oversaw training sessions and would actively participate with the students in teaching skills and encouraging their development.
