My forte as a real estate agent is negotiating contracts in real estate transactions. I can take what’s reputed as an emotional transaction and make it a pleasant experience for my clients. • Entertainment Host

My position as an entertainment host involves many daily and nightly duties. Our entertainment host team is made up of no more than six hosts, working under our Cruise Director and Entertainment Director. As an emcee, activities we host range from cooking demonstrations to themed trivias, adult game nights to children events, and we are the primary faces to help guests getting on and off the ship at our ports of call. Onboard the Carnival Freedom in Galveston, Texas, one of my sole responsibilities was acting as the team's bingo manager. Onstage, I called numbers as I interacted with crowds of up to 300 people per bingo session. My main role was to increase bingo sales. Our staff relies solely on revenue from bingo, putting a lot of pressure on my team and I. Behind the scenes, I was in charge of our inventory, delegated work to my team, and worked closely with our Financial Director. Onboard the Carnival Spirit in Sydney, Australia, my main role was the Comedy Club Manager. Under this position, I was in charge of the comedians who sail with us every week. I introduce them on stage and get the crowd energized, as well as making sure they are taken care of during their stay. I also acted as the club's bouncer, putting me in difficult situations with unruly guests. In addition, a major part of my role was to increase bar sales and write reviews for our comedians. Working aboard a cruise vessel also entails being familiar with basic safety training, and what to do in an emergency. We undergo extensive vessel training with our officers that sometimes last weeks. Show less

    • News Producer
      • Jul 2015 - Nov 2016

I was the producer for our 6pm and 10pm newscasts. My daily responsibilities included stacking rundowns, writing and editing stories, finding local and national content, and communicating with our photographers and reporters. When our executive producer took another job, the position was left open for a few months- leaving me to undertake many of the roles he carried out. From time to time, I produced two newscasts simultaneously. When we had breaking news, I assisted and sometimes had to make the final call as to which reporter and photographer would have to leave their current story to cover the news break. I remained in constant contact with them to get any details we could for our newscast, and during the time of our live broadcast. After the newscast, I wrote stories for our web. I also would communicate with our Midwest NBC affiliates in the evening hours. I requested content from our affiliates and would send our content to them using FTP online video transfer. Show less
