Route1 is looking to cut out the middle-man in the £100bn white-collar recruitment market, starting with legal jobs.Route1 is an app that matches white-collar professionals with job vacancies, it's 80% less expensive for employers and much easier for the candidates than traditional recruiters. Polkit Studio was a small design agency offering good value digital products - website, social media consultancy, app development and graphic design for small businesses. I came up with the concepts and then project managed various freelance designers and developers to bring them to life. I built and marketed the Notting Hill Carnival mobile app, acquiring 25,000 users in one weekend. We also made 15 websites, an exam revision app and a fully fledged e-commerce website. I founded the Student Advertising and Marketing Society (AdSoc), aiming to inspire and support students with an interest in the creative and communication industries. We provide online resources, host speaker and recruitment events and run an advertising agency for student enterprises. Creating and implementing a business plan to provide funding, speakers and writing the blog for AdSoc has been fun, motivating and extremely satisfying. I aim to continue to expand AdSoc to universities across the UK and build its presence as a valuable recruitment tool within the marketing industry."An astute networker with entrepreneurial spirit and real enthusiasm for the business; Franky is the brains behind AdSoc, by students, for students, and has even created an agency within his uni to practice what he preaches. A great all-rounder."Janet Hull, IPA Director of Marketing“I was very impressed by the Advertising Society. It felt vital, energetic, lively and brimful of curiosity about our business. I was asked to speak about the factors influencing brands in the digital age: we had a great debate and provocative questioning – continued over dinner afterwards”Miles Young, Ogilvy& Mather, Global CEO.

I was invited to judge the APG Young Talent Award judge. The Account Planning Group, the world’s leading authority in brand and communication planning, holds this competition to celebrate the power of young people’s creative thinking. It was an honor and very informative to judge the interesting entries along side some very interesting people. I was invited to judge the APG Young Talent Award judge. I chaired a 25-seat committee generating and spending a budget of £150,000. This role took me through a steep nine-month learning curve. Based on research into my target consumers and competing events; I devised strategies, budgets and timelines for 8 subcommittees. I learned more than I could have imagined from this incomparable experience - particularly in dealing with managing a large team, combining my creative and business strengths and, most of all, actually making big ideas happen. I enjoyed leading our marketing strategy, etching out an original approach in a very competitive market. It proved fantastically successful, selling out all 1,700 tickets over a month before the date of the event. I was lucky enough to be invited to Buckingham Palace for a reception with HRH Prince Philip, feature in the local press and on BBC 2.

At MCBD I carried out the data collection and analysis for a social experiment investigating the stigma faced by people with mental health problems for an ad for Time to Change - which has subsequently been shortlisted for the APG 'Best Use of Research' award. It is exhilarating to see my work used in the final ad and it was extremely useful to be able to contrast MCBD with Fallon. I worked on numerous accounts contributing to both the creative and planning process across the agency. It was a great introduction to day-to-day working life and I became accustomed to communicating on a professional level. I also thoroughly enjoyed the life in a creative agency, the business culture and the way it requires one to think. My role involved the design, production and distribution of all marketing materials for the Concept Show plus a range of creative and logistical tasks to bring together a complex, sell-out catwalk show. This was great experience in following leadership constructively, coordinating large groups of people and working within a professional business structure.
