During my experience at Wegmans, I was constantly on the move. I worked cashier but with my fast working skills, they allowed me to work in different departments of the store. Some days I would work outside with the shopping carts or inside helping out in produce and dairy. I interacted with customers daily, making sure they end their shopping with a positive experience, while accurately handling money and completing monetary transactions. Even though I worked for a short amount of time due to Sports Authority going out of business, I got the best experience of being in retail. Working in the shoe department was fun for me and the best fit for me given the fact that I love shoes. I worked efficiently in the=at department and kindly greeted customers while analyzing their needs with suggestions. With a little number of employees we had, I also assisted in the sports department and I helped out in the apparel department while having to be organized and keeping the premises clean while preventing theft. This job was all about keeping the premises clear of any students or trespassers that entered overnight, Working overnight on a high school campus help me become more aware and alert of my surroundings. I monitored the entire facilities by myself making sure doors were locked and the campus was safe while going through all the checkpoints. In the mornings before I ended my shift, I oversaw the crosswalk for the middle school children and pedestrians.
