I serve as the Assistant City Manager and Community Development Director. My general responsibility is to modernize the management process while improving staff and community engagement. Organizational development is being achieved through a human-based application of the scientific method. In other words, we are creating and tracking metrics with the organization's stakeholders . This is sustainable management.

Responsible for the creation, management and teaching of PA 680 - Planning & Zoning. The course was a "boots on the ground" practical application of planning, zoning, economic development and political facets of the governmental process. The course was part of the Master of Public Administration program as a special topics class. I created and instructed GPY 310 (Planning & Zoning) at GVSU during the Winter 2017 semester.
