  Teach undergraduate experimental physics; design experimental apparatus, electronics, and software for research in superconductivity, optics, submillimeter radiation, astronomical instrumentation and detectors, condensed matter physics, and SIS quasiparticle mixers. Wrote (with John Ward and Jonas Zmuidzinas) the SuperMix C++ library for modeling and optimization of high-frequency, superconducting circuitry.   Received my wings in 1979. Deployed as an A-7 pilot aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (VA-12) and USS Forrestal (VA-37); about 450 traps. Completed USN Test Pilot School in 1986 (Class 90). Strike Aircraft weapons-separation test pilot, instructor at USNTPS, Navair FA-18 deputy class desk for special programs and weapons integration. Retired as a Commander in 1996.
