I had the pleasure of mentoring Frank at the SAP InfoJam event in London. From the outset it was clear that he was a strong leader as he was very focused on the task in hand. In particular, Frank's ability to bring different ideas together really enhanced the overall performance of the group.

A two day event working to develop a concept – an app, program or system – that would enable the UK Cabinet Office to reduce Fraud against two government departments. These are Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The concept is to enable the Cabinet Office to analyse Household Composition – in other words by using data provided by these two departments and by third parties to create an accurate assessment of who is actually living in a house. I had three main responsibilities whilst working and these were Customer Service, Food Preparation, and Cleanliness and Hygiene. I had to be trained in these areas within the first few months in order to vary my day today role and duties. Skills Gained: Being able to handle different kinds of customers on a daily basis whilst being able to adapt to different environments. I was able to learn quickly whilst working in a large team. • Shadowing Programme
      • Mar 2014 - Mar 2014

This was a two-week shadowing programme as an IT assistant with one of the teachers at the school and a KS4 Computer Science Class. I was asked to closely observe on how they would be managed and was also given the opportunity to work with small teams. I was able to guide them into completing the assignments that included programmes such as Visual Studio and Visual Basics. I also assisted with small tasks set for them like completing puzzles relevant to the assignments set. Skills Gained: Enhanced confidence in communication with higher staff but also with children along with improved team working sills and the knowledge gained from these sessions. Show less
