The Project Engineer will also periodically interact with clients on a one-to-one basis and must be able to communicate effectively. Located at the Electronic Materials Dow site in Newark, DE, the internship introduced me to production engineering and troubleshooting at a chemical plant. While it was necessary to understand the entire chemical process, the job required daily learning about scheduling and keeping processes within specifications. Sample projects include safety audits for backflow prevention and re-commissioning an above ground storage tank.
