Brian Johnston

It was my pleasure to work with Frank for almost 10 years at CSU and always found him to be extremely creative, responsible, responsive, results-driven and cost efficient. A very talented designer and artist, he managed the creative development and production of our multi-media advertising campaigns, corporate identity programs including logo design and comprehensive style guide, special events presentations, publications, Internet advertising, and so much more. Frank is always a leader among his colleagues, the person you want leading your project when it absolutely has to be right. Frank is a personable, no-nonsense professional who quickly grasps the needs of the client and the target audience and gets down to business. I highly recommend him for any of your design and creative needs -- he will not rest until you are completely satisfied.

While not hiring Frank directly, he has designed six media guide covers for me in my time as an employee in the Kent State Athletic Communications Office. He does a great job with the media guide covers and I was able to get proofs fast.

I am also an adjunct instructor at Salem Community College in Carney's Point, NJ, teaching Electronic Publishing (CGA120), Digital Illustration (CGA132), and Beginning Drawing (ART104). The digital courses are focused on instructing non-design students with basic skills in sound graphic design principles, digital techniques, an understanding of file preparation for print, and a good sense for taking a project from concept to finish product. The drawing class is a traditional studio set up and expose students to the fundamentals of drawing, from observation, master work study, learning techniques with a variety of traditional mediums. The class includes still life, perspective, abstraction and portraiture. Show less
