I worked with Francesco since 1999 in ubisoft Italy. He was working as a coder during that time, changing to producer later on. I had a beautiful collaboration with him, both as a producer and as a coder. He is open minded and challenging. After 4 years outside Italy, working for Kuju and Ubisoft montreal, I've decided to come back in Italy to work with him again.

Francesco is a focused and game-oriented producer. He has a clear vision of the projects and keep organized tasks and people. Coming from a "programmer" background, he has a concrete vision of problems and production issues.

Following my desire to help others and to dive into the nonprofit sector, I dedicated several months studying how video games can contribute to a better world, what was already available on the market. Finally I decided to found Video Games Without Borders (VGWB), a non-profit organization and an international community of people who believe in digital games to change the world for the better. With our community and our partners, we develop games with a strong social impact bringing together talents from both developed and developing countries. In 2015, I spent 6 months in Africa (Burkina Faso) with the goal of developing a game with local artists. Back in Europe, I supervised the development of "Antura and the Letters" (http://www.antura.org), award winning mobile game helping Syrian, Afghan and Ukrainian refugees to learn in their mother language while improving their psychosocial wellbeing. In 2020, during the first COVID lockdown, I coordinated the development of Flatten Island, the game made by volunteers and designed to help fight the pandemic by raising awareness about social distancing and hygiene measures, as well as raising funds for international NGOs. Currently I’m working on the IEEDO project (Increasing and Enhancing Effective Digital Opportunities for refugees and migrants), an EU Erasmus+ project to help adult refugees develop their Digital Self-Learning skills. I started at Ubisoft as a Junior Programmer in Milan right after my bachelor degree and I gradually gotmore and more responsibilities. When I left, after 15 years, I was in charge of all thedevelopment of the Barcelona Studio, supervising all its projects and being the main point ofcontact for the Head Office. My responsibilities included studying the feasibility and then defining a production plan foreach new project, recruiting and training the staff, allocating them to the different projects, supervising quality and budget during the development, bridging with the Marketing team andthe Head Office for a successful distribution. On a few projects, I was also in charge ofcoordinating various international studios working on the same project.Over the course of the years, I’ve taken part to the development of more than 20 videogames for all sorts of portable and home consoles, including critically acclaimed titles (likeBeyond Good and Evil or Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory) and casual blockbusters (like MySecret World by Imagine or Motion Sports). Here's the list of games I've been working on as Production Director of Ubisoft Barcelona:- Rabbids Invasion - The Interactive TV Show (XboxOne, PS4, X360)- Shape Up (XboxOne)- Sports Connection (WiiU)- The Adventures of TinTin:The Secret of the Unicorn (X360 Kinect, 3DS)- Motion Sports (X360 Kinect)- Your Shape (Wii, PC) Show less
