Paul Nash

Francois worked for me for many years as part of Airbus Group. During this period Francois fulfilled multiple roles which demonstrated his ability to multi task and to take on a project from initiation to competition. He has great networking skills and an ability to bring together different people from disparate groups resulting in common direction and strategy. The key activity during this period was to support the management of the Airbus group environmental network managing the harmonisation, strategy and best practice sharing for tasks such as hazardous substance management, design for environment and end of life.

Stephane Mezange

I have had the pleasure to have François in my team as a public funding and strategy project leader, and the first thing that struck me is his ability to work so easily with everyone. His discernment and his capacity to quickly master new subjects are just as impressive. His work has been extremely valuable, and I already miss his positive outlook and easy-going character. Highly recommended!

I am currently consulting for the Degrees Initiative as transition manager while it becomes an independent NGO in the UK, overseeing the next stages of the initiative's organisational development while ensuring the continuity of programmes in partnership with TWAS-UNESCO. My role also includes supporting our Board and CEO, managing external communications, and supporting fundraising activities.

    • Programme Manager
      • Jan 2017 - Mar 2021

The SRM Governance Initiative was launched in 2010 as a partnership between the Royal Society, The World Academy of Sciences (UNESCO) and Environmental Defense Fund. Its mission is to expand an informed global conversation about solar climate engineering and build southern capacity to evaluate this controversial technology. From 2017 to 2020, I led our programme of outreach, working in a dozen countries. In 2018, I managed the launch of DECIMALS—the world's first climate engineering research programme and fund for developing countries. Since its inception, the programme has deeply changed the demographics of the field, and its capacity-building model has been widely acclaimed. In 2021, our fund was chosen as one of the Paris Peace Forum’s ten scale-up projects.

Study of tropical-like Mediterranean storms as part of the HYMEX Programme (HYdrological cycle in the Mediterranean EXperiment). The research consisted in evaluating a model’s ability to simulate a medicane observed in the Tyrrhenian Sea in 2007.
