Orbis - International Relations Studies Association is a Portuguese organization composed by young people with interest in International Relations. It was born with the objective of contributing to the academic development of this broad area of studies, given the lack of a set of diverse Portuguese think tanks in the field, thus intending to create academic content regarding the various areas of International Relations in a way that is accessible to the general public, namely to younger people. We consider it essential to promote mechanisms that awaken the interest in issues that can change the world, therefore providing young people with the opportunity to connect with the world of International Relations, to acquire skills that complement their education, and to contribute with unique ideas. Functions: • Contact with entities and individuals necessary to carry out our activities. • Intermediation between Orbis and the respective institutional contacts. • Establishment of possible partnerships fruitful to our mission. • Representation of Orbis when celebrating institutional protocols and when establishing contact with partners. • Organization of activities.

Intern at the Subsaharan Africa Department of the Directorate-General for Foreign Policy. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MNE) formulates, coordinates and executes Portugal's foreign policy, being responsible for representing the Portuguese State in other countries and international organizations through its external network of embassies, permanent missions and consular posts. Among other things, the MNE is responsible for protecting Portuguese citizens abroad, conducting international negotiations and the Portuguese State's international commitments, conducting and coordinating Portugal's participation in the European construction process, and promoting relations of cooperation and friendship with the various international partners. Functions: • Update of fact sheets regarding Portugal's relationship with the countries of Sub-Saharan Africa. • Preparation of press summaries and situation points regarding countries and thematic areas within the scope of the Department’s competences. • Preparation of communications for other Departments of the Ministry, national ministries and/or diplomatic representations. • Support in the preparation of political-diplomatic opinions. • Participation in meetings and events of interest to the activity of the Department and support in writing the respective reports. • Support in the preparation of files for official visits by representatives of the Portuguese State. NECPRI – the Studies Nucleus of Political Science and International Relations of NOVA FCSH – is a non-profit youth association composed of students from the Department of Political Studies of NOVA FCSH. The Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science and Culture (OEI) is an international organization and the largest body of multilateral cooperation between Spanish and Portuguese-speaking Ibero-American countries. It conceives education, science and culture as tools for human development and as generators of opportunities to build a better future for all. Functions: • Update of fact sheets with relevant information about the OEI countries. • Creation of a biweekly newsletter with updated information on political, social and economic developments in the OEI's areas of activity (Education, Science, Culture, Citizenship and Human Rights). • Development of research about the international organizations and their programs in Ibero-America. • Study of the diplomatic relations between Portugal and other Ibero-American countries. • Development of research on issues related to political, educational and cultural affairs related to Ibero-America. • Research regarding the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU (2021), as well as the electoral processes in Latin America (more precisely, in Ecuador and Peru). • Development of work related to the commemorations of the World Portuguese Language Day and to the 27th Ibero-American Summit, in Andorra. • Translation of documents. • Participation in team meetings in Portuguese and Spanish.
