Francisco is a great organiser and has good attention to detail in his work. His knowledge of the Plastics industry is increasing and in particular the recycled plastics sector and the challenges facing the market.

Francisco has impressed me with his enthusiasm and knowledge of our industry and his passion to do a great job for the British Plastics Federation and its members. He is a really nice guy, trustworthy and easy to get along with. He is always looking for ways to improve our industry and its reputation. I can highly recommend Francisco both professionally and personally.

Developing and implementing a common sustainability strategy within the area with special focus on how we react against the growing restrictions on plastics by developing competitive value propositions, alternative products and activities to enhance our position and reputation in the value chain. I develop a robust and customer-focused sustainability strategy, with the support of key business leaders across the region. I identify and prioritize areas for sustainability efforts for the region (e.g. reducing carbon emissions or addressing the issue of single use plastics) and recommend strategies for proactively addressing relevant sustainability issues to create additional value for the global business, balancing the needs of the end customer and the Bunzl business, aligned with the strategy defined by the group. Additionally, I offer expertise and support for initiatives to reduce company-wide footprint by resource conservation, pollution reduction, waste elimination, transportation and education. Show less

My main responsibilities are concerned with the comprehensive support of three high-level industry groups, whose aim is to promote and evolve recycling, manufacturing and health and safety within the UK plastics industry.I have used my knowledge of the industry to write proposals and recycling strategies for the plastics industry to increase awareness within government and amongst civil servants of the importance of plastics recycling to the UK economy. These documents were handed over to government ministers at briefing meetings and we are now in the process of using these documents to arrange meetings with my members and their members of parliament to raise awareness of industry issues with politicians. Each industry group has their own specific promotional work over the year. It is my role to ensure that these projects are managed and developed to guarantee a positive outcome. Show less
