Francisco's passion and commitment to immigration reform stems from his own personal experiences as a son of Mexico raised in California. We met as colleagues in a 21st century Latin American revolutions class at UC Berkeley where his initial thoughts on globalization and development and penchant for policy provided a healthy challenge to our instructors. Beyond this, Francisco has gone on to advocate as a representative within the Mexican Consulate, at detention facilities in Texas, at non-profit organizations in the agricultural sector of California, and now pivoting into the technocratic world of Silicon Valley in order to leverage systems like CRM platforms all in the name of providing more streamlined and dignified advocacy for refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants within our borders and beyond. Francisco is a natural storyteller and is well versed in revolutionary poetry and literature. He is exactly the kind of person you'd want to advocate for those who have historically and intentionally been disenfranchised by our immigration system.
