MCA is a consulting firm specializing in Compliance, Privacy and Digital Law. - When I entered the company I created the full data framework from scratch, including modelling databases and installing a SQL server. - I did an in-depth profitability and solvency analysis, comparing annual statutory accounts and cash flow statements, that led to a better assessment of the situation of the company and the implementation of important measures that allowed MCA to endure the long and deep crisis that Spain recently suffered. - Day-to-day tasks include marketing actions, strategic planning, data analysis, development of reports, Balanced Scorecards and Business Dashboards, P&L and budget forecasts, KPIs, cash flow control, invoicing, creation of scenarios and suggesting actions to mitigate risks and deviations, among others. - I also do consultancy and training tasks in Compliance, Privacy and Digital Law. Arrakis was the leading Internet Service Provider in Spain and was bought and integrated into British Telecom in 1999. - My main task was data collection and analysis for the development of reports, forecasts, Balanced Scorecards and Business Dashboards, as well as budget following, creation of scenarios and suggesting actions to mitigate risks and deviations. In order to enhance my efficiency in these tasks I learned SQL by myself with the support of IT and it dramatically increased as I could access the databases at my convenience to get the needed data for the reports. - I was the unofficial translator of legal, commercial and technical documents from Spanish to English and vice versa. I also was the translator in audioconferences. - I was put in charge of the telephone charges fraud prevention and detection system as it suffered breaches. Shortly after analysing the client register process, the detection system and the profiles of the scammers I teamed with IT and Finance and established the needed steps to detect the scammers before they even signed in, thus ending the frauds. - I also did other tasks such as customer loyalty campaigns, the study of operations efficiency inside and between areas, marketing research and stock control.
