  An interesting start as a co-pilot on Saab 340 turboprop aircraft operating into the Shetland and Orkney Islands and throughout the UK, Scandinavia and near Europe. Promoted to Captain in 1993 and then became a TRE /TRI on the aircraft and simulator in 1995. The jet( EMB135/145) came to Aberdeen in 2000. I became deputy HOT and then HOT moving the ATO to Bristol for 3 wonderful years. It was back to Aberdeen and the line flying and training on a 75% contract until BMI Regional went into receivership in February 2019.

  Exciting role running an ATO for Embraer 135/145 Type Ratings and managing the training and recurrency requirements for a crew line mixture of 20 EMB135/145, totalling 150 pilots.

  Assisting the HOT throughout the range of the ATO training and recurrent checking, line and simulator.
