Austin Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA) Hilton Hotel Indoor Air Quality Project – Austin, TX • Conducted site investigation and indoor air quality analysis for the ABIA Hilton hotel. • Inspected all building HVAC systems including the chilled water plant, fan coil units serving the suites, air handling units serving the common areas and energy recovery ventilators providing pre-treated fresh outdoor air into most of the rooms and areas of the building. Verified the existing conditions, sequence of operations and specifications of all the equipment inspected. • All data collected at the site investigation was incorporated into a Trace 700 model to simulate the overall building HVAC design and analyze the performance of the systems. • Design alternatives and solutions to improve the indoor air quality of the hotel were prepared and presented including replacement of existing energy recovery ventilators with similar or new/improved technology (sustainable scenario), modifications to the existing air handling units with variable frequency drives, installation of humidity controls and addition of new air handling/dehumidification units. Wilson Montessori School Commissioning (Cx) Project – Houston, TX • Provided engineering and technical assistance during the commissioning process of the Wilson Montessori School ensuring that all building systems performed interactively according to the design intent and the owner’s operational needs. • Performed site inspections during construction phase to ensure applicable systems were installed properly and received adequate testing. • The commissioning scope of this project was intended to comply with the requirements of LEED – Schools version 3.0.
