🔸Leadership and Strategic Planning: Assisted in the development and implementation of 2 strategic plans with multiple result areas as shown below. 🔸Livelihoods: 300 vulnerable youth and women identified, trained on entrepreneurship and supported with business start-up grants to begin their own micro business for increased livelihoods outcomes, contributing to SDG 1, 5 & 8. 🔸Education & Vocational Training: 720 out of school children and youth rescued from the streets, rehabilitated and reintegrated back to their families and enrolled in formal schooling/youth vocational training contributing to SDG 1 & 4. 🔸Health & Nutrition: 150 teen mothers and their children empowered for increased maternal health, nutrition and livelihoods outcomes contributing to SDG 3 & 5. 🔸Youth empowerment & Peace Building: Training of 100 youth leaders from vulnerable backgrounds and formation of 17 youth peace clubs with a total membership of 741. (435 Male and 306 Female) within informal settlements in Nairobi. Replication of the Youth Peace Club Model in 6 other African Countries, (DRC Congo, Burundi, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda. They are currently 178 peace clubs with over 7000 membership across the East African Region. This has contributed to SDG 16. 🔸Policy Dialogue & Partnerships: Collaborating with other Civil Society Organizations, (CSOs) and the Nairobi County Government for the development of the Mukuru Special Planning Area. (SPA). Mukuru Special Planning Area (SPA) is one of the largest ever informal settlement upgrading processes. Strategic partnerships formed with the government both national and county, academia, private sector and other civil society organizations for sustainable development. this has contributed to SDG 11 & 17 🔸Proposal Writing & Resource Mobilization: 60% growth in project interventions by developing winning proposals.
