SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE Ardent knowledge of testing codes and standards- ISOs, ASMEs, AWSs, APIs and ASTMs for mechanical testing. Qualification of Welding Procedure Specification (WPS), Welding Procedure Qualification Test (WPQT) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). Qualification of welders through Welder Qualification Test (WQT). Failure investigations and analysis.WORK EXPERIENCEQuality Control Engineer, Destructive Testing (Mudiame Int’l Limited) Develop work procedures and work instructions for mechanical destructive testing. Perform quality surveillance and inspection of on-going work in accordance with ISO 17025. Conducts internal audit on QMS in accordance with ISO 9001. Reviews subcontractor quality control plan and monitor the in-process activities. Identifies and follow-up any nonconforming activity in the process. Ensure proper maintenance of all quality records generated at the workshop and mechanical laboratory. Identification and analysis of weld defects. Monitors mechanical destructive tests (Tensile, Bend, CVN, Hardness, Nickbreak and Fillet Fracture, Macro and Micro Examination, Ferrite Count.) to qualify welders and welding procedures. Monitors chemical and corrosion analysis (PMI, IGC, SCC.) of material. Monitors the collation of test results and generated test reports in accordance with standard codes and specifications. Provides and ensures that applicable codes and standards are available at the work floor. Advise workshop on testing parameters tolerances and changes prior to testing. Ensure total understanding and implementation of all major contracts requirements and project specifications. Maintains accurate records of daily tests performed. Provide early warning of potential quality problems of testing processes and machines. Conduct laboratory and field inspections, reporting and documentation.  Verifies test specimens in conformity to standards, codes and specifications prior to testing.
