Francesco is a kind person and a natural leader. He has an analytical mind and always stays sharp and in sync with the current best practices. Francesco does tremendous work for Couchsurfing while keeping every team member's best interests at heart. He works hard, but don't let this simple fact deceive you — Francesco is a person who is not an enemy of fun.

Few people are fortunate enough to work for and with not only a great colleague and mentor, but also a friend. I’m fortunate to have had the chance to work with and get to know Francesco over the last 18 months. Francesco is an exceptional leader and has done an excellent job as the compass that has kept Couchsurfing on track since 2017. Couchsurfing has slowly evolved from a volunteer-based not for profit organization to a professional corporation. Francesco has been a driver of positive cultural change since he started. Today, Couchsurfing operates efficiently; during the COVID crisis the team was able to not just survive, but transform monetization strategy and improve future outlook in the process. For a travel company in 2020, that is an incredible result. Francesco led the transformation from both an operations and product perspective. Francesco is also a data-driven leader. He has helped me understand better ways to clearly present data so that leaders can make important decisions easily. Francesco also spent time learning to better understand data, so as not only to be aware of key performance indicators but to understand underlying drivers, how and why metrics move, and what we can do to improve them. As a data professional, it is incredibly refreshing to work with someone who takes the time to understand the high-level picture as well as the details. I think it goes without saying, I highly recommend Francesco and know that he will be an asset on any team, in any role. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.
