Francesco came to Milacron Germany to assist in the month-end accounting and reporting process after the finance manager had left the company at short notice and the financial controller had resigned to go to another company. Francesco very quickly learned the long and complicated processes involved in the preparation of the month-end financial statements and reports including the calculations of accruals and prepayments and corresponding income / expense to the profit and loss account. He also checked the costs per cost centre, making sure that all costs incurred were correctly allocated to cost centres. In cases where costs were not correctly allocated he made the necessary corrections. Once the profit and loss account was completed it was then split between two business units for the purposes of allocating revenues and costs to the relevant units. After the P&L and balance sheet was finalised, Francesco then uploaded the data to Hyperion HFM reporting software, and checked that the data was correctly reported. In addition to the very detailed financial data, Francesco also had to prepare additional analyses of costs by departments (manufacturing, engineering, sales, administration etc) - also uploaded to HFM. Francesco was very quick to understand the processes and principles of the reporting and worked very efficiently. It was always a pleasure to work with Francesco, and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
