Bio
Edward Benson
I worked with Francesca in Myanmar, notably as part of LWF's camp management in Rakhine State. In 2013, we were desperate for agencies to put up their hands to respond to over 140,000 IDPs in a chronic situation in Central Rakhine. LWF was the first agency to do as much. They showed courage and long-term commitment to what was an extraordinarily challenging context. I enjoyed working with them, not least Francesca who I am more than happy to recommend. She's serious, focused and committed. I look forward to seeing her progress in the years ahead.
Polly Newall
Francesca has over 10 years experience of applying the rights-based empowerment and participatory approach, building the capacity of people to engage with human rights advocacy and further the empowerment of marginalised groups over three continents. I worked closely with Francesca on a number of projects, first when I led an assessment of Lutheran World Federation Myanmar’s approach to working with government structures and then when I supported her team on the Universal Periodic Review process for Myanmar in 2015-2016. We also worked together on a number of country context analyses. She is a brilliant communicator, approachable, a passionate advocate for justice and is always ready to support others to ensure effective teamwork. It has always been a pleasure working with her!
