  The activity of APCLAI Subtitles began inside the Latin American Film Festival of Trieste in 2011 when I drove the shift from simultaneous interpretation of films to subtitling. The number of films that are subtitled at each edition of the Latin American Film Festival has grown steadily over the years, with about 90 films currently subtitled for each edition. Born as an internal department of the Latin American Film Festival of Trieste, APCLAI Subtitles began to offer its services to third parties, such as festivals organized by the Latin American Embassies in Italy, the Venice Film Festival, the Rome Film Festival and Latin American distribution companies.Given that growth, what was initially intended as an internal department at the Latin American Film Festival of Trieste has assumed autonomy and aims to become the reference agency in Europe for Latin American filmmakers.
