Returning to LEC after my secondment as Events Program Leader, I have embraced the challenges of leading change management within my team and feel extremely blessed to be working with such a wonderful group of highly skilled, professional and motivated team members. A great leader is only as good as their team, and I am very lucky to have a damn awesome one!Marketing & Promotion of the Entertainment Centre & Community Venues has also been added to my extensive business portfolio. I love the challenge and thrive being super busy!

Events Program Leader
-
Jul 2011 - Jan 2013
During my recent term of 18 months as the Events Program Leader at Logan City Council, the program developed significantly and I was able to strengthen what was working well and overcome the challenges that the team had faced previously. Some of my stand-out achievements during this time included: Creating a Sponsorship Agreement for Logan City Council which minimised the risks involved with external sponsorship and created a framework for evaluation of return on investment (among other benefits) Developing a Delegation of Authority surrounding Sponsorship Writing, delivering, presenting the three year Regional Events Strategy and ultimately achieved endorsement within very tight timelines. This was challenging considering the difficult political environment at the time Successfully selling tickets to a previously free event and setting the bar of outdoor events to new highs to ensure patron experience was exceeded time and time again, this event actually sold out Collaborating with our designers to refresh and give new direction to the Christmas Carols booklets and last year achieving a cash positive result by selling ad space within the booklet Creating a mission statement for the Events Program which the whole team contributed to, understood and embraced Building and re-establishing relationships with new and existing stakeholders to improved mutual benefits, whilst promoting a positive City Image for Logan Re-branding and re-energising the Logan City Sports Awards Having peers at a recent Regional Events Conference provide me with feedback regarding the Events Strategy which confirmed that Logan City is on the right path to ensure that Logan City Events will bring visitors, change perceptions and build economic growth for the region
