During this stimulating position I taught English to agricultural engineering students. I organised tutorial groups around various agro alimentary subjects using online forum groups to encourage discussion and involvement in the subject outside of class. A particular focus was on encouraging the students in their written work- notably report writing on their farm and food industry internships as well as fine tuning their presentation skills. The students on the integrated work and study program followed a more professional based course which focussed on communication skills in industry as well as in the classroom. Show less
