To whom it may concern, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Fran for almost seven years on various projects in my capacity as Production Manager. Fran’s roles have varied from project to project as Background Supervisor to Concept Artist, but the constant in our working relationship is my absolute trust in Fran’s ability to deliver. He has consistently delivered high quality work while also having an acute sense of deadlines and responsibility. Even on the toughest productions, Fran has never let myself or the team down. While Fran has his own unique art style, he has an unparalleled ability to adapt to any production’s art style. He has a keen eye for detail and consistency that he also communicates down to his team. Each project Fran and I have worked on together highlighted Fran’s talent with very low retake percentages for his teams. Each time I start a new project, whether Fran will be working on it or not, I ask his advice on the scope of the BG work. Fran’s opinion means a great deal to me as his ability to balance quality with what’s actually achievable is unique. He has a pragmatism that could be considered rare among individuals who are as creative as he is. The aspect of Fran’s approach that I admire the most is the support he gives his team. He genuinely cares about the people he works with and will do anything to help them improve themselves on every level. I have seen Fran train and encourage people well beyond what they might have thought possible themselves. He uses encouragement and solid planning to get the teams to achieve what they need rather than pressure.
