The project required a tight control over the budget and schedules. This oven made a significant improvement to the process and saved more than $600,000/yr for the company - Launched a Lean Manufacturing cell for a Lost Foam casting line. The cell included a Fanuc robotic arm and a high efficiency drying oven. This cell reduced the number of operators from 11 to 3 with a significant scrap reduction - Managed the product launch for ZF transmission covers, participated in the APQP team, ordered prototype tooling and finalized the part design, ordered production tooling, prepared the quotes and resolved supplier quality issues - Managed all engineering activities of rear transmission parts for GM-Steyr project.
