I was responsible for the children from the age of three years old to sixteen years of. I corrected them in their ballet technique and cared for them while the instructor taught the class. So, I was in charge for their well-being and discipline; everything the instructor couldn't focus on. I was responsible for the children from the age of three years old to sixteen years of. There were three facts to my job this summer. It included site development which involved improving facilities, learning maintenance skills, evaluating and executing physically safe work environment, learning teamwork and communication skills and being able to adapt to the changing environment. The second part of this job was camp development where I learned how we could bring camp forward through understanding our traditions, evaluating how we process, the development of programs for clients and even contributing in an international marketing campaign called Thanks to Camp. The last and final part was a professional development giving us the opportunity of critical thinking and self-reflection, effectively relaying information to listeners, exploring my own capabilities and strengths, leading group discussion and running an effective meeting and learning time management and teamwork. I was a camp counsellor as well as in charge of the activity of dance. I was responsible for the caring and the emotional and physical well-being of eight to twelve children. I would also facilitate the development of interpersonal relationships, develop cohesive communication between our peers and superiors as well as teaching dance classes for children from the age of six to sixteen years old on a day to day basis.
